when I am thus,
limbs laid out
at length
long after lights
have languished low,
the stray stayings
of you –
mere murmurs
of moments –
linger long
in evening’s teasings
of my curtains,
though they (I),
remain (not) tangled
in yearnings
of you

What a lovely denial of missing someone..the flow of the words was perfect for the mood expressed.

Wow. It’s not too often that I read a poem and feel that it’s perfect, even my own (but that’s just my opinion, what do I know about other people’s poetry? Shouldn’t all poetry be perfect?), but this is a perfect poem. Love the emotion expressed, and am kind of amazed at how you’ve put some complex words so simply. Absolutely love this poem.

Hmm… not sure how I’d managed the parenthesis with spoken word,… could be tricky… 😉
