intrusion

lying here beside,
fingers breathing soft
in intermingled time
and burning presence,
an intruding moon
spies the luring slope
of slumb’ring shoulders
and moves to rest
unbidden between
as silvery light
and unabated as lips
that kisses lay
in trailing paths
to rouse you

    1. Oh! I love that you read it aloud – I can so clearly hear it in my head (and sometimes read it to the dogs) that I’m pleased to hear when someone else wants to sound the words! 🙂
