sea glass

I do not need
to shine as the stars
or rise with the dancers
to pivot in unbounded sky
I am content
to reside in the quiet,
unoccupied spaces
a long, slow trail
of watercolor blue
the sigh between
the stones and sea
to live loose-scattered
as glass loved smooth
by the waves

        1. if thou art a smarteth-ass, thou shalt follow thy true calling and be a smarteth-ass and cover the corners of the earth with thine smarteth-assethness, even unto the comments of far-off web-scribes… thus saith the lord…

  1. You have written Sarah what I would love to have written to describe how I want to live.

I shall print this off – pin it on the cork board in my kitchen and smile every time I read it.
