light resides
in the quiet crook
of your elbow
were I to unbend it
or raise my head
from where my hair
loves the smooth
turns of you
it would surely escape
fly out the open window
pulling along behind
the rest of me
flushed as birds
from fields at dusk

What an image you create with these words…quite fanciful…loved it.

Oh this is quite stunning, Sarah. It’s so very light yet very much not. It’s beautiful.

Light and yet not,… very much like life, yes? Thanks, Martin 🙂

elbows can be dangerous things to fall into… one may never want to leave it once there 🙂

Beautiful and I love the continuity in it (I know that doesn’t sound very poetic, but I think you know what I mean.)
