The crows are nesting, the violets are blooming, the dogwood is budding, and I spent part of my Saturday reading on the porch in a glorious bit of sunshine.
It’s Spring! At least it is here in the great Pacific Northwest. And I’ve decided to do another giveaway of my chapbook No Direction But Home in order to celebrate.

I’m a happy owner of a copy already, Sarah, and you’ve sent me to the shelves to take my copy down. I had book-marked “passing through Paradise Valley” as one of my favourites: “… just passing through/ I might pause to watch/ the ebbing day tuck itself alway/ between the trees beyond ridge/ that marks the edge/ of paradise not mine”

I love that you like that one so much – Paradise Valley is a very real place in Montana and one that resonates with me. If ever I win that elusive lottery jackpot, I’d love a humble little cabin in that area. You might check out the artwork of Russell Chatham who lives and paints in the area – sublimely gorgeous work. 🙂
