small birds

just here reside
small flutterings
as if the trifling ghosts
of small birds
(restless things)
pulled short of migration
had dithering paused
and remain
perching somewhere
between breast and sky
somewhere here
between you and I

    1. Singing now… “O Canada! Our home and native land. True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise. The true north, strong and free.” Oh wait… not that kind of anthem, you say? My bad… 😉

  1. Wow! Very, very good… love this! (Sorry, can’t seem to come up with anything eloquent at the moment… but I do love the poem. ‘Specially the fluttering and the migration… )
