captive birds
trill changed tunes
hearts somewhere
far beyond bars
and that
which lies within
thrums futile
as feathers
that never fly
subsists
and subsides
Melancholy poem, which fits my mood today. My outdoor cat Pearley has disappeared. I’m not sure what that has to do with your poem, though.
Anyway, I see that you have have uploaded a new header. It is much more lush than the other one! lol! I also like your new title font! Apparently, you know more about web design than the average person. Quite a bit more.
I am glad you enjoyed, but sorry for the absence of your cat. BTW I once had a siamese named Haiku. But I digress… I hope your cat comes padding home, replete with secret adventures.
Sadly, I know just enough about web design to royally mess up whatever it is I’m trying to fix. 🙂
Just a gorgeous poem with such a beautifully sad tone to it…really loved reading it.
